He choked away Kansas only to get it back when the leaders wrecked. Then at Texas Rico channeled his inner Kyle Larson and put himself in the wall lol. Even here tonight it was more to do track position and strategy. Just look what happened to Suarez. Once he got back in the pack he couldn't do anything Don't get me wrong Byron looks like he's gonna have a good future in the sport. Sean posted: 07.07.2016 - 11:02 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I think Byron's win in this race was the MOST impressive, actually. Everybody knows that there wasn't much passing here tonight because the track was repaved (yeah, there was a lot more passing in the second half, but a large part of that was because the field was shuffled with the different tire strategies.) However, Byron had to restart 9th after several others stayed out of the pits. Yes, he beat Bell, Crafton, and Suarez out of the pits on that pit stop, but he moved to the lead and quickly while by the time he was leading they were STILL only around 10th. He was the only one who managed to make it back, and those other guys have typically fast trucks on cookie-cutters as well. No, I think this was his MOST impressive actually. And the #8 and #19 seemed to be WAY faster than him at the end but he still didn't screw up and give them a chance to pass. 111. This guy is literally only happy if he can complain about anything and everything, why are you trying to take his happiness away from him? In all seriousness, I admit I did not see this race (I must be honest, I've sort of been skipping a lot of the lower series races with Kyle Busch in them because I've seen more than enough "epic" victories from him in these series to last a couple of lifetimes), but...gotta say, Byron is definitely the real deal. Already got 4 wins in 10 starts this year and this is his first full-time season? Say what you want about the KBM equipment (I have little doubt that's certainly helping factor into his success), but here's another kid who looks like he's definitely going to make it big-time in NASCAR. I've said it before, it's almost scary how much young talent there is in Xfinity and especially the Trucks right now, and the saddest part is there's so many of these drivers and not enough spaces in Cup for them to fill...which means inevitably some of these drivers are ultimately not going to make it and either wind up driving for backmarker teams or out of the sport altogether. Definitely do not think Byron is gonna be one of those, though! 112. I seriously don't see how there out spending anyone if all but one of Kyle's drivers bring there own sponsorship. I am starting to believe Toyota might have some kind of Aero advantage somewhere on the trucks and car. 118. It's just the 10th time in 63 races that he has failed to lead a lap in his own equipment. Needless to say, it's pretty rare to see Kyle not up front at any time in a Truck race. 121. One or two sometimes get lucky and get $25,000-$50,000. The rest are under that, with many running out of their race winnings just on buying tires alone. It's a rough place. Caleb Roark: 0 laps. There's S&P, and then there's pulling in the pits as the green comes out and just tripping the transponder! 122. So Kvapil took JJC #1 truck and slapped a 50 on it. JJC #1 changed to #10, and Caleb #1 was a Premium truck they borrowed to S&P, Caleb took the grid and got pushed to garage.
