JR-TV posted: 05.30.2017 - 1:23 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) ^Agreed! Both are in the top-10 in points and deserve full-time truck rides. I really hope they both end up in something. If a there is not a team out there that wants a driver with Timothy's resume it says something very bad about the sport as a whole. It used to be that when a proven veteran lost a ride in the middle of a season he often was immediately picked up and didn't miss any races. I remember when Jack Sprague was released from KHI in 2008, he was immediantly hired to drive the #60 for Wyler Racing. Then Terry Cook who had driven the #60 moved to the #59 for HT Motorsports. That didn't happen for Ron Hornaday in 2014 even though he was high in points when his #30 shut down. Hopefully there is a young team like Bolen or Niece that is willing to give both Peters and Moffitt an opportunity. 3. There is also the 97 which is basically a 5th ThorSport truck 4. JR-TV posted: 05.31.2017 - 3:06 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) ^Well that takes Peters and Moffitt out of the running for that truck. Really hope they find a ride. Niece has T.J. Bell listed in the #45. Why would they keep Bell in that truck when they can have a proven winner like Peters? With Little in the #97 the only trucks entered without a driver are the Rick Ware #12 and the MB #63 and #36. The #36 is probably start & park so hopefully Peters and Moffitt will be in the #12 and #63. There are so many teams out there that would benefit from replacing their drivers and hiring Peters or Moffit including: #45-Bell is only running part-time anyway and has far worse stats than Peters or Moffitt. #66-I like Chastain but he is running for Xfinity points and this team could put Peters or Moffitt behind the wheel and go for a chase spot. #75-Kligerman is only running part-time and probably only has a shot to do well on plate tracks. #83-Yeley is running for Xfinity points, has never won and really isn't a young driver looking for a shot. Peters or Moffitt would probably do a better job in the #83. #99-Brandon Jones is running for Xfinity points and has never won a truck race. Peters and Moffit both have and deserve to get to drive this weekend. Jones has Xfinty on Sat. 7. TeamDCR fan posted: 05.31.2017 - 4:58 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Now Peck has the 63. So that just leaves Wares 12. Unless the 50 Beaver Racing truck enters 8. A Ford Thunderbird posted: 06.01.2017 - 8:38 am Rate this comment: (0) (4) #6-Get over yourself. You can slam T.J. Bell all you want but he and Niece Motorsports are doing the best they can. Peters and Moffitt are drivers who did alright in top equipment. They would struggle mightily with their trucks and their ego if they slipped to driving mediocre at best equipment. But yeah, screw TJ Bell out of earning a paycheck just so Peters and Moffitt can continue to make more money. By now, Peters should have enough money to start his own truck team while using his #17's points. But don't go around cutting others for not considering your almighty drivers. 11. JR-TV posted: 06.01.2017 - 10:36 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) ^I believe so. I know they have been a sponsor on Ryan Truex's #16 Truck. 13. JR-TV posted: 06.01.2017 - 10:48 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) #10, I am not "slamming" T.J. Bell. I like him. I just think Peters and Moffit are better. Bell struggled for Roush, did pretty great for TRG and just OK at Red Horse. He was outran by Peters when they were both at Red Horse. I don't want to see Bell lose a paycheck but Peters and probably Moffit would get better results out of the #45 truck. Also, anyone that hires Peters or Moffitt automatically becomes a chase-contending team. It is just bad business sense that a smaller team with part-time driver wouldn't hire Peters or Moffit and race for the playoffs. 14. Jonathan King posted: 06.02.2017 - 7:23 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Honestly, I think Moffitt will find a Xfinity series ride with RCR or another race team and I think Peters will retire because he is getting to that age and teams want younger drivers, and I think there will be no opportunities for him. This is my opinion, don't roast me about it. 19. RaceFanX posted: 06.02.2017 - 2:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Reigning K&N West champion Todd Gilliland makes his NASCAR Trucks debut. 20. Isn't it amazing how opportunities present themselves when certain "major league" drivers aren't present to stink up the show. The truck race could quite easily be the most competitive race of the Dover weekend. 26. Todd Gilliland had a great run in his debut and was right up in the top-5 for quite a bit before the suspension failed on the #46. His Tundra ended up coming in to retire with the right front wheel all but falling off the truck once it did. 45.
