Yes, it's a problem, but if last weekend's race at Texas is any indication, the series doesn't need full fields to put on a good show. Plus, the #1 and #50 should be added by the end of the week, giving us 30 trucks 4. With the current state of nascar that's not going to happen. It just costs to much teams spend between 500k-1m dollars per race, and most teams don't have that kind of money. Sponsorship in the truck series seems to be really low (KBM,RHR,). It used to cost about 150k to buy a race car before the CoT was introduced. 18. Lack of practice laps are tell tale signs of start and parks. Also of note, Bryce Napier tore Jen's #10 to smithereens in practice. Bryce goes to the #0 so he can continue to "learn" and Jen will "drive" whatever pieces of the #10 they can put together. Tonight's parks appear to be: #10, #57, #66, #83, #87 and #57. 35. Ak47 posted: 06.17.2017 - 10:53 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) According to the post-race interviews with both JHN and Joe, there was a good chance the #8 truck couldn't have remained full-time due to funding. I would presume a guaranteed playoff spot will assure their attendance through the rest of the season, but it's terrible to hear nonetheless. Had the #8 been forced to drop out of championship contention, that would've made both RHR trucks, the NXS #6, and then the #8 all shutting down in the last month. Terrible look for NASCAR. Already the 3 aforementioned trucks being absent has been noticeable; NASCAR can't afford to lose anymore competitive entries right now. 52. JHN was able to get ahead of the pack on the final restart and avoid the erratic driving behind him to get the win. NASCAR has to work with the teams to find a solution to the decaying state of the field to make sure the playoffs are not decided by who has the funds to show up every race. The strength of the field always fluctuates year by year, but the amount of drop off lately has been concerning. Hopefully JHN can drive the remainder of the season & we can see some other drivers currently out of a full time ride back in a Camping World truck full time. 57. Because they can get cheap tires and can hire pit crew members from the various different series. Also in addition to tires there are used parts and pieces that can be picked up cheap by the smaller teams. For them to go to Gateway by themselves it hurts and so some of the smaller teams won't even bother coming. 67.
