Wants to win with a different number or sponsorship? 8. Gelato101 posted: 07.05.2017 - 4:01 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 18 has a full time driver this year, 51 already had a driver this week before Kyle decided to add more races to his schedule, and no clue why he suddenly dropped the 54 last year. 46 is an odd choice though 9. JR-TV posted: 07.05.2017 - 4:24 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) ^Todd Gilliland drove a race in #46 for the team earlier this year. The team only ever used #54 because of Monster sponsorship even though that wasn't in the truck series. KBM uses #51 because of that number being featured in the movie "Days of Thunder." The #46 was also a major number in that movie so that is probably why they choose that as their 4th truck number. Really hope Kyle doesn't steal another win away from the truck or xfinity regulars this weekend. 10. JSPorts posted: 07.05.2017 - 5:24 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Kyle has actually raced a bunch of different numbers throughout his career, the #46 will be the 14th different car number he will use in the top 3 series. That breaks down to 3 numbers in Cup, 8 in Xfinity & 7 in Trucks. The only number he has driven in all 3 series is #18, but he has driven 3 numbers in at least 2 series. #5 in Cup & Xfinity #15 in Trucks #18 in Cup, Xfinity & Trucks #20 in Xfinity #32 in Xfinity #46 in Trucks (Thursday will be his first start in this number) #47 in Trucks #51 in Trucks #54 in Xfinity & Trucks #57 in Xfinity #84 in Cup #87 in Xfinity #92 in Xfinity #99 in Trucks 11. 95McDowellFan posted: 07.05.2017 - 6:34 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Can somebody tell me who is in the #6 and #57 12. Mannoroth posted: 07.06.2017 - 7:12 am Rate this comment: (0) (4) 9. Those 2 Truck wins every year would be enough, but definitely not his just one win in Xfinity this year. He needs to catch up to Larson's 3 wins in this series, so the record of the most wins in the season could be his again. And it's time to win something anyway - 4 starts, 1 win and hasn't led the most laps yet. Not a normal stats for someone like Kyle Busch... 16. Kyle didn't absorb the team in 2010. Billy Ballew Motorsports still existed, raced against KBM and even won something. He didn't have the rights to use the #51 full-time till 2012. Kyle's Truck team is based on Roush's former Truck team that ended in 2009 and after 2012, the Billy Ballew Motorsports' remains were fully absorbed into the KBM. 19. Oh, really, Sherlock? Some weak nobody wouldn't have a chance against KBM anyway... And even if he wrecked, so what? He won this race twice (2011, 2014) and already has 2 wins this season. The mission is accomplished and he will have other chances to surpass Hornaday... 20. Cynical About This Race posted: 07.06.2017 - 7:12 am Rate this comment: (1) (2) @18 I think the 6 might have been pulled from the entry list so that the worthless @ssh0le in the 46 would be able to rob candy from babies even if the race got rained out, hopefully karma catches up with him and he wrecks for the second year in a row in this race. 21. What is wrong with him? Don't do drugs kids 26. JR-TV posted: 07.06.2017 - 11:01 am Rate this comment: (2) (0) ^Norm was evidently offered a large sum by Kyle Busch to withdraw the #6 so that Kyle's #46 will be locked into the field. Not a dumb move at all by Norm if he was paid enough. The money he made from Kyle will probably keep him racing several more races. 27. A Ford Thunderbird posted: 07.06.2017 - 11:25 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Norm would be very stupid to withdraw. Norm paid GMS earlier in the year to get that golden batch of owner points, if he withdraws, the #6 loses this attempt and they drop well down the provisional rank. If that #6 did withdraw, Norm will definitely pay for that down the line. However, Kyle Busch is already guaranteed into the field for being a 2016 driver winner, so there is no need for anyone to have to be pushed aside. Kyle is already in on the rulebook! So, overall, I highly doubt Norm withdrew the #6 and Kyle will not miss this race no matter what anyone thinks. He gets in on the rulebook. I qualifying rains out, #87 and #57 DNQs. 28. Mannoroth posted: 07.07.2017 - 7:01 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) It was just about satisfying the sponsor. And I think 6th place isn't bad, not even for Kyle Busch. You guys have to look outside of that dominating bubble of Kyle Busch - all you see is his domination race by race, but it doesn't work that way. There were, are and will be times when Kyle is just a top 10 car, which doesn't lead laps. It was that way in Trucks and Xfinity like 7 years ago, when he won 8/13 times and it just happens from time to time. He already has 2 wins this season, so other wins are just a nice bonus. 38. All of his wins so far in 2017 have been on the cookie cutters. Looks like this one was quite adventurous for Bell with involvement in two cautions. Was this a real "Spin and Win?" Wow, no comments during the race itself. That's almost certainly due to the late start. 39. Everyone except Coughlin and Chavous. Also, Haley would've run every race had he not been 17 at the start of the year, and he's running well, too. The top 12 or so in this field are good, but the back half is weak. 42. Nelson Piquet, Jr. started from the pole and led the most laps at 65, but the race was won by Johnny Sauter, who led 28 laps. James Buescher, Parker Kligerman, Cale Gale, Ty Dillon, Matt Crafton, Miguel Paludo and Jason White all led laps in that race. 45. He had the dominant truck as he just climbed back up through the field, but it was actually one of the best races of the season. Glad I ended up staying up for it even tho 3am for work came early this morning. I think the biggest shock of the night was the fact that they announced the biggest truck race of the year, Eldora, will be shown on the Fox Business Network. I just can't understand what is so busy going on a Wednesday night that they have to push it to a deeper network? 49.
