Mannoroth posted: 02.23.2018 - 9:00 am Rate this comment: (0) (2) 14. Pointless? Catching up to the most successful driver in the entire history of Truck Series in wins is pointless? It's a honor to tie and surpass such a legend as Ron Hornaday Jr. He was a dominator of this series, but Kyle Busch did the same with 200 less starts. Hornaday was really good, but Kyle Busch is even better (unfortunately for some people like you, that just can't accept the fact someone is able to run the winningest driver down). Not all the records are untouchable... 16. JR-TV posted: 02.23.2018 - 9:18 am Rate this comment: (1) (1) @15, Ron did it as a regular in the truck series. Kyle is doing it as a cup regular dipping down into the lower series stealing wins away from truck and xfinity regulars. That makes me completely disrespect what Kyle is doing. 17. He doesn't need this "accomplishment". 200 less starts-You do realize all of those wins came with either Cup equipment or Cup backing. Mannoroth posted: 02.23.2018 - 12:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (2) 16. It doesn't matter. When you look at the stats, it's still the same - Ron has 51 wins, Kyle has 49 wins. Both are the ones of the best drivers of the Truck Series. All Kyle does is just fulfilling his passion for racing. He doesn't just like to race, he loves to race. And the only thing he enjoys even more is winning. Harvick was the same, before he and his KHI gave it up, because he knew he is still behind him and can't beat him more times. 17. Just like he didn't need his Xfinity accomplishment? But it doesn't matter now, because he surpassed Martin in Xfinity and ran away from him. The current margin is literally insane - 42 wins. And the same is about to happen in Trucks as well - I really don't think Kyle will retire from Trucks after his 52nd win... He didn't do it in Xfinity after his 50th win, so why he should do it now? Because of "fans" that don't like it? Hornaday didn't have the best equipment from his DEI days and later with KHI? That's the reason he is that far from other successful Truck Series drivers - no one was able to win 4 titles and 51 races and not even those ones driving for Cup teams like Jack Spraque or Mike Skinner... Yes, better than Hornaday (titles aside, of course, because Kyle has never run for them) - having nearly 50 wins in just 140 starts is insane. Even if we removed all Hornaday's weaker season starts, that difference is still really big. 21. Busch brings in sponsorship money for his race team which allows drivers other than Busch a shot at competing in the truck series. Say what you want about Busch (he's far from my favorite driver) but he does a lot for racing and has famously given a lot of drivers a shot at the big time, like Erik Jones and William Byron. 28. You look at the bright side, well done! As much as I can understand why it gets old watching guys like Kyle Busch race in these lower series. I find it even more annoying hearing and reading from people who constantly whine every week, knowing full well (most) who are scheduled to be participating in each races all season. You would think, especially in Xfinity, that everyone would be encouraging Kyle to hit that 100 wins milestone quickly so he can finally retire from it (if he's true to his words). Truck seems to be the most entertaining of the three series, so I don't blame Kyle for wanting to keep racing in this series for years to come. 30. Oh wait, it's just the Cup driver that can win lower series races regularly... And I don't think that someone, who just doesn't like Kyle, is a true race fan. True race fan should be someone that actually knows something about the sport and if those fans use brain, they should know that Cup driver running just 5 and 6 races is nothing against a Cup driver running 18 and 30 races (Kyle's 2018 and 2008 difference)... Those are just the people that aren't satisfied with anything - they wanted less Cup drivers in lower series races. NASCAR did, what they wanted and they still don't have enough. Even 5 and 6 races are a problem... You just can't help those people, who just don't get it... But hey, I don't mind - I like arguing with those people, who write the same crap every week. "Hope Mannoroth enjoyed crying into his Kyle pillow all night." Why should I? Kyle lost, so what? It's not for the first time it happened... Plus, he already is a legend. In 2010, he finished 2nd to Kevin Harvick. In 2011, he finished 3rd behind Ron Hornaday, Jr. and Clint Bowyer. In 2012, he finished 2nd to Ty Dillon. In 2017, he blew a tire. And in 2018, his wheel fell off. 101. Alan Cavanna and Hermie Sadler were the pit road reporters. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
