Anyway, this race or the next race at Charlotte could be the one where Kyle Busch ties/surpasses Ron Hornaday, Jr. on the all-time win list in this series. If Kyle doesn't win this race or that Charlotte race or both, he will have his last chance at Pocono this season. And remember that to tie someone is not much different from to surpass someone. You will be first anyway, just not alone. It would be also cool, if Kyle did some tribute to such a legend like Hornaday, the driver that was immune to age. 9. Davis had an okay run at Vegas, but expectations were much higher I'm sure, and poor Todd always has something go wrong with his truck it seems. 10. The series will become the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2019 with the name in place for the rest of Camping World's contract through 2022. (I guess that explains why the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series didn't get an updated logo this year with NASCAR's new logo in it) 12. Stewart Friesen's shifter knob broke off just after he took the lead and now its rolling around inside the truck. While Friesen was working on that issue the #52 shut off under yellow and didn't maintain caution speed leading to several trucks passing him. He restarts in seventh...AND HE'S BACK UP TO THIRD WITHIN A LAP! 35. As I type that Freisen passes him for a spot as the two are on the tail end of the lead lap in front of Johnny Sauter, the ASA champ has yet to pit. 40. RaceFanX posted: 05.11.2018 - 10:25 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Slow traffic in front of Friesen and Busch almost spelled disaster for them. Someone in a white truck got loose and Friesen wooed up to avoid hitting that truck, forcing Busch to dive down low enough in the trioval he clipped the grass to avoid wrecking Freisen. Freisen maintains the spot and they are both in front of Gragson by about three seconds. 41. There were 2 clear halves of the field, the front half and everyone else. There was hardly any in between, and it just lead to a seemingly spread out race fighting around lap traffic. Was fun seeing the pit strategy playing out at the end, was hoping Snider would pull it off. I really need to work more of these races, though. I just enjoy how much more laid back they are compared to Cup & NXS. Sponsor updates (there are a bunch) #8 Fleetwing/ Petron Plus (D.A.B. was just an associate) #98 ProtectTheHarvest.com (Curb was just an associate) #51 Lyons Bathtubs & Toilets/ Menards #22 Don't Mess With Texas/ CForce (Chuck Norris' bottled water) #45 ProMATIC Automation (Superior Essex was just an associate, as it's been all year) #33 JC Racing (Julius Curry's deal on the hood as he's Josh's primary business partner, Colonial was just an associate) #6 Zomongo/ H&H Transport Inc. #74 Chill by Koolbox/ Horizon Transport #36 First Responder Racing (Was actually a Copp entry) #63 First Responder Racing/ Mittler Bros. #1 Beaver Motorsports (truck was completely blank) I will say the highlight of the race was seeing the #15 catch fire on pit road. They had run it out of fuel, and had proceeded to flood it bit time when they tried to get it going again. Looked like pyrotechnics coming out of the cowl flaps. I guess TV missed that because of course they don't pay attention to backmarkers. 70.
