Cory Roper and Jesse Little return to the Circut driving for their family teams. Jesse Little making his fourth start after three very strong showings, and Roper makes his second start of the year, after finishing a deceiving 13th at Martinsville, after he ran in the Top 10 for much of the race. Young's Motorsports fields a third truck for the first time in 2018. John Hunter Nemechek, Justin Haley, Joe Nemechek (and possibly Mike Harmon) are all pulling double-duty this weekend. 5. If we were in Kyle's pre-2012 years, I'm sure he would use every opportunity to race and the Iowa doubleheader (Trucks & Xfinity) is perfect for it. Just like that former doubleheader at Nashville, when Cup had an off-weekend. And I'm also pretty sure he won't see any other insane tripleheader at 3 different tracks in 3 days in 3 series for 3 different teams like Kyle did it in 2008, anymore. He spent more time in his private jet than on the track, when he had to fly to Fort Worth, then to Nashville and then to Long Pond. 6. Several laps before the crash, Friesen moved up the track into Crafton while racing for position and gave the #88 a tire rub. That likely contributed to the wreck. That could be a good place where they wouldn't have to fill many seats up and it would appeal to Iowa to have a Cup race where they haven't had one. Maybe make it a short 300 lap Cup race. They could race Cup on Thursday, trucks on Friday, and Xfinity on Saturday. Then Cup could race that Sunday at another track. Or do a Tues-Wed-Thurs event with concerts going on and so forth. Another good time to have a midweek race would be during the MLB All-Star Break week on a Wednesday. They wouldn't have to compete with anything at all. No NFL, NBA, NHL, or MLB on that Wednesday. 73. Senninha posted: 06.16.2018 - 11:16 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Man, that was fun! So cool to see Moffitt and Hattori pull it off again.
