Ray Ciccarelli has 49 points from last year and Kvapil will likely rely on past champion provisonal. It's really inconvenient to readers. Plus the entry list this year has the 98 listed as Thorsport Racing, exactly the same as the 13/27/41/99. No other team has their entries split up with most under the majority owner and some under a minority owner. That'd be like if we split up the 48 in cup under Jeff Gordon as the owner because he is the owner of that car in Nascar's eyes even though he's just a minority owner in Hendrick. 48. David posted: 02.14.2019 - 12:05 pm Rate this comment: (3) (0) You make a good point, and NASCAR isn't exactly helping to clarify matters by having it as ThorSport in one place and Curb in another. What this site needs is a way to combine owners' data so that even if Curb must remain distinct from ThorSport people can still view everything together. OTOH I also agree with the poster who noted that the obsession with this is a little too intense on the part of some folks. It may be irritating, but sometimes there's a difference between what's CORRECT and what's OFFICIAL (for example, let's all fight about how many Cup wins Bobby Allison has). 49. Danish_Pie posted: 02.15.2019 - 7:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) A bunch of issues in just the first few laps of the race. Bryan Dauzat had a right front go down while on the bottom of turn 2, shot up the track, and knocked the 42 of Robby Lyons into the outside wall before hitting the wall himself. Dauzat on the radio says he ran over some debris to blow that tire. Simultaneous to that, both of the DGR trucks had left front tires go down well going down the backstretch. Giliand, who was second on the bottom line at the time, dropped like a rock stifling the bottom line, before pulling down onto pit road. Decker had a tire go down at the exact same time, however the tire did enough damage to destroy the left front, and eventually rupture an oil line to spark a fire at the entrance of pit road, where Decker stopped and scrambled from the car, bringing the caution out. Apparently, both crew chiefs report that debris caused the tires to go down on both of those trucks as well. Then a little ways up from that, Bryan Dauzat struck a member of his crew while pulling into his pit. What the actual hell. 77. Why can't NASCAR just start 36 trucks next week on qualifying time, then 4 spots for trucks highest in points since it's Daytona? With that many entries, there's enough pit stalls for 43, the track is something like 2.5 miles length, plently of room. With the money it takes to show up at Daytona anymore to qualify is so monstrous and sponsorship so hard to come by like it is, c'mon NASCAR, wake up! Let's start 40 total!! 217. He calmly completed his lap, went to pit road where others noticed the fire. Jason White and Josh Reaume rushed to his aid while crew members from Reaume's team put out the fire. Lyons ultimately made the race only to be collected in the lap 1 incident. 220.
