What's wrong with being an owner of the team, an active driver at the same time and running a few races each year for your team? Almost every other driver in the past did it, but I guess it's a problem, when that driver starts winning too much, huh? 18. Well, the record of the most wins in this series is his, he finally won 4 consecutive races in NASCAR, so every other win is just a nice bonus and that means he can start crashing a lot and it won't change anything. 20. George_Costanza posted: 05.16.2019 - 5:37 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) @26 Perhaps we just didn't realize how much people hated leeches in the lower series. I can go look at the comments of a Busch race from 2005, and you'll still see the same level of hate. This is just my theory, but guys like Harvick, Edwards, Hamlin, Burton, Martin, Earnhardt, Busch, etc; they all races against eachother until about 2011, then it slowed down a lot. Those guys ran between 1-7 races per Busch season, besides Kyle. Kyle was no longer racing against Cup drivers as often, and he dominated more. 28. 34McDowellFan posted: 05.16.2019 - 9:09 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Benning withdrew, not surprised as he was likely going to DNQ anyway 29. A lot of people complain about they're taking rides away from young talent (though they can't say that about Kyle in the truck series), but I think that's more of the sport's problem than driver. Definitely a lot of factors from all parties, but I remember years ago having smaller teams have big time sponsors (like the 96 McDonald's car of Andy Houston(?)) 33. So it's not the same like saying "Kyle Busch on the entry list = 100% probability that he wins the race". This isn't Formula 1, there are so many things that can go wrong... 27. He didn't dominate more after 2011 - when you look at his numbers, those ratios of starts/wins are pretty similar. The only exemptions are 2014 Trucks, 2016 Xfinity and 2019 Trucks. 35. If he closed up KBM the series would suffer much more. You'd be taking 2 rides away from young guys. I know when you don't like someone and they have an advantage it's boring to watch, but he's limited to 5 races a year and he's not guaranteed to win. Remember all those rumors Cup drivers will be limited to 5 Xfinity and 3 Truck races? NASCAR surprisingly didn't do anything. And those haters will always want more and more no matter the circumstances - even if Kyle didn't win a single race in Xfinity or Trucks someday, those people will still want to get those limits more strict and when it reaches zero, they won't be satisfied at all, because the same drivers will be winning everything and that's also wrong. Just look how some people can't stand Christopher Bell winning for JGR in Xfinity. That's a goddamn series regular, though! He is supposed to race in that series... 97. We would lose 3 more full-time competitive trucks in a series that has already lost a lot of competitive teams in recent years. We would effectively be left with just 8 strong teams, one of which (#45) doesn't even have the same full-time driver. And half of those 8 teams are run by truck series mainstay ThorSport. 98.
