Back in 2001 when the New Hampshire race was rescheduled, the lineup was set by owner points and the rest of the entry list was excluded by points. When one of the teams withdrew (the #27, due to shutting down), no team was filled into the spot. 12. Thats numbers better then well the ratings will see from viewers on TV like you and me. Just saying. but a fair warning to you all on that. 126. It would be nice to see you go back and retract at least some of the unnecessary hate you've spewed in Zanes direction over the years. That's the 2nd time in 4 races he's intentionally dumped somebody. I get Smith came up in front of him, but Smith got the worst of it and that's not a good reason to react like that. It's a shame he finished 9th. I really hope ThorSport replaces him next year. ...and Grant Enfinger... Hailie Deegan's in the Ford pipeline 129. I see in the loop data on this site it shows the number of fastest laps a driver had in the race, but it doesn't list the individual fastest lap times. The formula to determine next week's starting lineup is fairly easy to calculate in Excel, except I don't have the fastest lap data. The only way Zane Smith doesn't start on pole next week is if Eckes finished more than 9 spots better than him in the fastest lap results, which is unlikely considering Zane had the most individual fastest laps of the race. Anyway, the top 3 starts will surely be Smith, Eckes, and Moffitt. After that, it is very close between Gray, Ankrum, Hill, and Gilliland for who will start next, and that 15% weighted fastest lap stat will definitely shuffle that group. Also for interesting context, even if the 51 had the fastest lap, and is 2nd in points, finishing 38th kills their starting spot next week. I didn't calculate it all the way out, as it wasn't worth the effort without having the fastest lap data, but they will certainly be starting mid pack despite the high points ranking. 130. Him, Gray, Ankrum, Hill, and Gilliland should fall 4-8, though like I said I did a very loose calculation since I didn't have the fastest lap data and still don't know where to find it. 132. I'm interested/a masochist, so I did that already and threw stuff into the calculations. Granted, there are some things I don't know, specifically regarding new entries. For example, if the #11 comes back at Daytona, how they are calculated, or if they don't come back, does that mean everyone else moves up one spot in the standings for owner points (i.e. is the ranking for owner points relative only to those entered or overall points regardless of entries). I'm assuming complete owner point rankings. If everyone here attempts the next race, the lineup would look like this: 21 18 23 16 26 38 15 99 19 4 13 24 88 45 40 2 02 75 98 00 51 9 56 04 55 68 30 33 52 8 44 22 20 3 49 10 14 6 83 133. Similar to @129, I only find the total fastest laps, not individual lap times. I think a lot of people on this site would be interested in this data, so if you really know where to find it please share it. I don't see it on nascar.com so if it is really there it is definitely well hidden and unclear. 135. However, that data is terrible to try to copy/paste into a document or sheet. So I went trying to find a better version of it, and eventually found it. https://www.nascar.com/gander-outdoors-truck-series/las-vegas-motor-speedway/lap-times/ It says Las Vegas, and will take you to the Las Vegas race, but you can easily change to ANY race, and ANY of the top three series. I've bookmarked this page for easy access. It's still the individual lap data, but MUCH easier to copy/paste, and I was able to copy and sort to get the fastest lap of each driver, then sort by fastest lap. Again, takes a bit of work, but happy to share what I've found! 137. Anonymous posted: 08.08.2020 - 1:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @136 I appreciate it, thanks for sharing it! Very helpful! 138. Anononymous posted: 08.09.2020 - 12:45 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @136 I just wanted to confirm for anyone else that may be wanting the lap data to self calculate next week's starting lineup, that the data here works great. Nascar.com unfortunately presents it in a clunky way as UnderdogFan89 indicated, but I'd say no more than 10 minutes of repetitive clicking cleaned and sorted it enough to be useful. I can also confirm that I got the same results as @132, however I did actually calculate a tie between Ankrum and Hill for starting 4th/5th. I'm not sure what the tiebreaker would be, as points and fastest lap would go to Hill, but last race result would go to Ankrum. I guess we'll find out the tiebreaker once NASCAR releases the official lineup. On a side note, I really thought Rhodes was going to calculate better before getting the lap time data. He had a chance to start as high as 4th, but he was just 22nd in lap times. That only counts for 15% of the calculation, but this clearly shows that the lap time part of this can alter a starting spot by a couple of positions. Regarding some of @132s questions, if the 11 comes back next week they'd basically get the equivalent of a 40th place finish in both lap time and race result (since 39 were entered) for the calculation. Additionally, for any non-entries, they would just be skipped. For example, if the 20th place team skips the race, the 21st place team would still be calculated in 21st, not moved up to 20th. 141.
