He came back for a one-off in the 2019 season at Texas for Kyle Busch Motorsports and pulled of a victory. He is also pulling a one-off for this race in the #24 truck. Can he pull off another one-off victory? Trevor Bayne is also making a comeback, he last NASCAR race was at race #34 in the Cup series of the 2018 season. Believe it or not, Trevor Bayne will be making his first ever start in the Truck series here. 2. On August 6th, 2020 NASCAR announced that a race at Darlington would replaced the cancelled Canadian Tire Motorsports Park race due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The schedule was planned a month before this race. 3. I think how David Ragan runs will be a good judge of how good or bad the DGR equipment is. Last year it was good, but I wouldn't put it on the ThorSport, GMS or KBM level. Rhis year it's been about the same maybe worse. Ragan is a recent Cup series retiree, has been to Darlington more than anyone in this pack except Biffle so he should have that advantage on 32 of the drivers 5. That sort of implies there was at least a brief flash of talent, and I don't recall that happening with Barrett. By my count Roush has had 54 drivers across the top 3 series, so he could easily fill an entire field himself. 15. 1995-Subaru-WRX-Sti posted: 09.01.2020 - 8:32 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Stanton Barrett almost (keyword) won the 2005 Mexico City Busch race for owner John Gill before getting spun out by a road ringer (or by himself can't remember). Other then Roush, Stanton has driven garbage for most of his NASCAR career, so we don't have an accurate gauge. Far as I see it if you run up front on a Road Course in a garbage car you have to have some talent. 16. Unless something crazy happens, he'll be 7-7 after this race. I don't think people always grasp how long Crafton has been around. Crafton has 467 starts entering this race. Hall of Fame inductee Ron Hornady Jr. is second in series starts with 360. Closest active driver is Johnny Sauter at 280 starts. Not only has Crafton run 467 races overall in trucks, they have all been consecutive. He's actually been running in the truck series longer than some of his fellow drivers have been alive. 17. Also, Roush wouldn't listen to any of Barrett's input AFA input, under the reasoning if it worked for Biffle, it should work for him (not factoring that different drivers prefer different setups) This problem was also shared by Chuck Hossfield, Nathan Haseleu, & a # of other drivers.
