Christopher Bell was originally announced as the substitute, but due to this being a playoff race, Bell is not allowed to run. It was later announced Timothy Peters will drive the #52, making his first start in over a year. Also, this is Hailie Deegan's truck series debut. 3. zuel660 posted: 10.13.2020 - 3:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Would anyone know roughly what the winner's take of this race would be? I know Nascar quit publishing race purses quite a while back. Friesen is scheduled to run his dirt modified in the ?Speed Showcase 200' at PA's Port Royal Speedway this weekend, which is paying $53,000 to win....I'm curious if this is more than the winner's take for this truck race. 4. Mile501 posted: 10.13.2020 - 3:20 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) @3 - The last few years that winnings were posted (up until 2015), the winner of the Kansas truck race took home between $40,000 and $50,000. I see no reason to think that figure has increased since then; if anything, it has probably dropped. I don't know about Friesen's odds of winning that dirt modified race, but it is also worth noting here that he has never won a truck race on an intermediate track (though he did lead 87 laps at Kansas last year). 5. JSPorts posted: 10.13.2020 - 5:06 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The crazy thing is, Kansas was still the 7th-highest-paying race in 2015. The winner took home $49,832 in that race. The highest-paid Truck winner in 2015 was Tyler Reddick, who won $91,804 at Daytona. The lowest-paid winner was Christopher Bell, who won $37,273 at Eldora. 6. possum posted: 10.13.2020 - 7:30 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @4 - yes, I'd think winners share would be closer to $40000 than $50000. And, based on his results this year, he's more likely to finish in the "pays $10000" positions (most of the field) than win. OTOH, he's won at Syracuse 4 times, if I'm not mistaken, so his odds of a big payday seem much better there. 7. But Niece loves getting guys we hadn't seen in a while Travis Pastrana, Trevor Bayne now James Buescher. 13. JSPorts posted: 10.16.2020 - 11:21 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I certainly don't have high expectations for Buescher. Niece hasn't looked great this year, and it's been over 5 years since he's been in a truck. Still, it'll be cool for him to be out there again. I hope he can finish the race. I think that's a good goal for him in this comeback. 14. RaceFanX posted: 10.17.2020 - 4:38 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Ankrum and Lessard crash together on lap 39. Tyler Ankrum's #26 is smashed and burning as it slides to a stop in the trioval. Bayne and Kligerman also involved. Accordian action behind them saw Deegan run in the back of someone but little damage, a few other trucks involved. 15. Sheldon Creed won Stage 1. Hailie Deegan was lapped on the final lap of the stage, running about 25th, but got the free pass. 17. RaceFanX posted: 10.17.2020 - 4:46 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Gravel and Gray wrecked separate from the main wreck there. Ankrum is done, and his title hopes take a big hit, but Lessard is working to get his truck repaired and I think Klingerman and Timothy Peters avoided major damage. Gravel and Gray are out. Ben Rhodes got a piece of it. Bayne appears not to have been involved. 18. Now I don't have to feel guilty about wanting him to win the title, even though he's still had one of the best seasons of any truck regular and definitely has been better than Crafton was last year it would still be awkward if he did it winless. 63. After a rough return to racing, Trevor Bayne now has 2 top 10 finishes in a row. Hailie Deegan did exactly what she needed to do. I would argue that a 16th place finish in her truck debut is more impressive than many of her ARCA races this year, given the vastly different levels of competition. 65.
