Useless trivia of the week: for the second time in the last ten events,
the Truck series turned in the slowest race speed of a top-three series
race at a track since the early 1950s. This was the slowest Darlington
race since the 1952 Southern 500, and last fall's race at Martinsville
was the slowest race there since the fall Cup race in 1954 - an aborted
200-lapper that was its penultimate Cup race on the old dirt surface,
lasting only 165 laps before being called for darkness.

Erik Darnell made an unexpected one-off start for Niece Motorsports's
#45 in this race, his first race in the Truck Series since 2008.
