Bobby Allison and Bobby Unser crashed hard on lap 1. Unser climbed into
a backup car and finished 11th while Allison decided against continuing.

Emerson Fittipaldi actually represented the FIA (Federacion
Internationale de Automobil) as the 1974 Champion. This was his lone
IROC win.
