Eventual winner Darrell Waltrip was in fourth on the final lap when the
top 3 cars driven by Cale Yarborough, A.J. Foyt, and Tom Sneva got
together and spun after going 3 wide out of turn 4. Bobby Rahal the
fifth place driver at the time was also involved.

The 35 laps led should be credited to Foyt, not Sneva.

This is the earliest race that I know of that Neil Bonnett was a
commentator for. He joined Ken Squier and Chris Economaki in the booth
for CBS.

Amid the chaos of the finish Tom Sneva spun across the finish line
backward to take second place.

John Watson had been out of Formula 1 for a year at this point,although
he would make a one-race comeback with McLaren later in the year, but
the Northern Irish racer still became the last active F1 racer to
represent the series in IROC and the only one following the series
revival the prior year. Watson mainly raced sports cars at this time.

Mario Andretti needs to be marked as CART as he was not in Formula One
At this time.
John Watson needs to be marked as FIA.

The only IROC race that Mario Andretti failed to get a top 10 in.
