Rusty Wallace scores his second IROC win in a row, taking the points
lead in the process.

This race was run as a companion to CART's Marlboro 500.

Bill Elliott came up just short of beating Rusty Wallace in this one but
he still had an unforgettable day. Awesome Bill from Dawsonville was
given the rare chance to drive a IndyCar as he got to take Eddie
Cheever, Jr.'s Chip Ganassi-owned #8 Target / Scotch Video Lola /
Chevrolet for a test run, clocking a few laps at more than 2010 MPH.
While the car had Chevy power Elliott wore his Cup helmet, with a giant
Ford logo on it, during the test.

Paul Page, Sam Posey and Bobby Unser were the commentators. Jack Arute
was the sole pit road reporter.
