The Daytona was being discontinued by Dodge and replaced with the new Dodge Avenger for the 1994 IROC season. 10. Big Al attempted to qualify for the 1994 Indianapolis 500 the following May but the was nowhere near up to the speed needed to make the race and decided to retire after the first weekend of qualifications. 12. Did Bill Elliott and Al Unser, Jr back off the leader to allow Davey to take the championship or were they too far back in points anyway?
