Mark Martin's second IROC win comes at the same track as the first. Al Unser Jr missed this race due to injury, however that information comes from the only somewhat trustworthy Wikipedia. 3. It triggered a four-car wreck that also involved Rusty Wallace and Ricky Rudd and knocked all of them out of the race. Ken Schrader was right behind Earnhardt when it happened but went high and dodge the wreck. Like the previous IROC race at Darlington this race included a scheduled caustion-flag pit stop as issued by IROC. Like the halftime break in the Truck series, no positions were on the line during the stops. The original plan was for the IROC teams to split time in the pits with half pitting one lap then half on the next. With only seven cars left after the crash everyone was allowed to pit at the same time. Before the tire caution Jeff Gordon was hot on Mark Martin's heels. After the tire caution Gordon wound up battling Schrader for second and Martin pulled away for the win. 5. saltsburgtrojanfan posted: 07.15.2015 - 7:56 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Green flag: Lap 1-16 Caution flag: Lap 17: #1,4,5,10 accident turn 2 (caution laps do not count in IROC races) Green flag: Lap 17-60 6. It was verified by Paul Page during the Talladega broadcast. 7. Shawn posted: 11.20.2019 - 4:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Weird, Rudd & Gordon shared a color? That can't be right. 8. nascarman posted: 11.20.2019 - 4:46 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Good catch, Rudd actually drove the white car ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
