Good run for Kinser, backing up his win the previous year with a second
to Big E.
Ironically, this would been very shortly after Kinser was fired from his
Cup ride.

I somewhat remember this race...I think that Dale Earnhardt passed Jeff
Gordon on the last lap (or within the final couple laps) to get the
victory.

Dale Earnhardt passed Jeff Gordon on the last lap, then help off Steve
Kinser to win by a nose. Amazing finish, one of the best I've ever seen.

The tan #2 IROC Dodge Avenger that Dale Earnhardt won this race in is
floating around in car collection circles today preserved in its winning
livery from this race after a restoration.

was the sole pit road reporter.
