Also Terry Labonte's is invited to run a full IROC season for the first time since 1990. Clips of this race were used for years in a commercial for True Value about their involvement in the series. Bobby B. posted: 01.21.2013 - 9:34 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Labonte was so mad because five drivers (Earnhardt, Marlin, Kendall, Jeff Gordon, and Robby Gordon) pitted for tires under the caution. Apparently it was a new rule that you could pit for tires under caution without penalty. Terry felt the rule was unfair because everything about the series was supposed to be equal and pit strategy ruined the idea of the series. I don't think that rule lasted very long. 10.
