Alex Zanardi crashed 3 times in 2 cars, he was not ready for this race.
I think they basically pulled him after he wrecked the second car.

Mark Martin goes "worst to first" for his second-consecutive IROC win

Robby Gordon was on the sidelines because of burns from his Indy 500
methanol fire.

This was Bobby Labonte's IROC debut and he came less than 0.2 of a
second away from winning it. On the final lap Bobby Labonte and his
brother Terry Labonte teamed up to draft together in an effort to beat
Mark Martin but Martin held them off for the win.

Bobby Labonte would later go on to be invited to run a full season of
IROC competition in 1999 and would win the series' championship in 2001.

Paul Page and Benny Parsons were the commentators. Jack Arute was the
sole pit road reporter.
