It looks almost identical to the kind of hit Jeff Fuller had at Kentucky in 2006. The CBS coverage focused mainly on showing the first qualifying race with the second only having a few highlights shown at the start of the broadcast followed by a eulogy from Ned Jarrett regarding how race car drivers know the risks but take them anyway. Unlisted drivers: As stated above, Ricky Knotts, May 23 1951 - February 14, 1980, was an ASA driver from Paw Paw, MI Ricky Otts is a Super Modified driver from Houston, Texas. While this was Otts' only attempt at NASCAR he kept racing until at least 2002 in the lower ranks. Frank Freda is from Elmhurst, IL I could not find anything on Robert Switzer at this time 8. jamie88fan posted: 02.15.2010 - 3:30 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) DAM I CANT BELIVE ITS BEEN 30 YEARS TODAY HE DIED RIP RICKY... 9. As shown above, of the four unlisted drivers in this race he is the only one without a confirmed hometown. 10. Both Sterling and Coo Coo finished outside any possible transfer spot and judging by their starting positions in this race, their qualifying speeds wouldn't have got them in either. 11. jamie88fan posted: 09.30.2011 - 2:55 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Coo Coo was sick on race day and sterling took his spot... 12. jamie88fan@yahoo.com posted: 09.26.2012 - 3:43 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Another sad note 5 driver in these 125 s would die at daytona later at Daytona ... During this era there were three days of qualifying. If you were unhappy with your speed the first day, you could take it off the board and try again the next day starting behind those who stood on their time. 18. Herk's bid to make his first NASCAR start in more than two years ended with his Miller-backed entry on the sidelines in the opening laps. 19.
