Smart move, but why not stay up front for as long as you can before making your move out of harm's way? 8. joey2448 posted: 02.15.2018 - 7:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Johnson and Almirola crash! Appears Suarez also involved. 9. Corey posted: 02.15.2018 - 7:31 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) And with that wreck Almirola is 39th with Johnson 37th for Sunday. 10. joey2448 posted: 02.15.2018 - 7:31 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Lap eight; Jimmie Johnson, running sixth, pulled out of line exiting the tri-oval and appeared to have a tire go down, sending the 48 sideways and into the 10 car of Almirola. Suarez turned hard left and spun to avoid the crash, and it appears he didn't get any damage at all, but the 48 and 10 are done. 11. Goes to backup Anybody seeing a pattern here? 12. Corey posted: 02.15.2018 - 7:48 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) He wrecks a lot at Daytona? I mean he's crashed out the last 7 clashes. 13. joey2448 posted: 02.15.2018 - 7:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Ricky Stenhouse has been working hard to make the inside line work, and it eventually backfires on lap 38 as Stenhouse turns the 24 of Byron around exiting the tri-oval. Byron noses into the outside wall and spins to a stop in turn 1. Stenhouse may have received a few scratches to his car there. 14. joey2448 posted: 02.15.2018 - 8:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Restart with 18 laps to go. Logano and Blaney lead the field. 15. joey2448 posted: 02.15.2018 - 8:09 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) David Gilliland wrecks in turn 1 with 13 to go. And guess what? Looks like the same exact situation with Byron. It was Stenhouse that turned Gilliland. No contact, just the air turning the 92 around. 16. He won two of these (plate races) and now he is a hero." -- David Gilliland's radio. 18. Sector posted: 02.15.2018 - 8:14 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Despite how much Johnson has crashed at Daytona since 2010, at least he's won at every event at the Cup level. Daytona 500's, 4th of July, Duel race #1 and #2 and Clash. 19. joey2448 posted: 02.15.2018 - 8:15 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Restart with nine laps to go. Can anyone break up the Penske party? 20. Sector posted: 02.15.2018 - 8:23 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) Watch NASCAR apologize for showing that. What I mean is, if anyone can read lips, you can tell Paul Wolfe said the "F***" word when Brad Keselowski crashed when the camera was on Paul. Hahahahahaha. 21. joey2448 posted: 02.15.2018 - 8:23 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Kurt Busch and David Ragan try to make something happen on the inside, and while that didn't quite work, the leaders finally decide to make their moves. Blaney moves to the inside of Logano for the lead with three laps to go (reminiscent to the Clash), which shuffles the front and midway down the backstretch, Keselowski gets turned into the wall by McMurray while running third. Only the No. 1 and 2 cars involved. 22. PackFan4Life posted: 02.15.2018 - 8:24 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Bubba's in 3rd after that wreck. Can he stay there, or will he drop during the G-W-C? 23. joey2448 posted: 02.15.2018 - 8:25 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Keselowski likely will start from the rear of the field in the 500, one of the fastest cars and best plate drivers. Meanwhile, this duel race will come down to a green-white-checkered finish with Blaney leading, Logano second, and Bubba Wallace in third! Alright boys let's get it! 24. Corey posted: 02.15.2018 - 8:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Isn't Keselowksi's backup the car the same one he won the Clash in? 25. joey2448 posted: 02.15.2018 - 8:30 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Best friends Blaney and Bubba find each other 1-2 on the final lap, but Wallace can't find a way behind the 12 car, and Logano ends up getting a run to nip Bubba at the line for second. Their best finish among the three is 14th, Alex Bowman, second to last car on the lead lap (and running at the finish) to Justin Marks, who managed to lead one lap. 33. RaceFanX posted: 02.15.2018 - 10:40 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Daniel Suarez had an adventurous run with the only Toyota Camry in the field. He had one of FOX's helmet cameras for the FS1 coverage and gave the viewers a spectacular first-person view of the chaos when Jimmie Johnson blew a tire and lost it, crashing into Aric Almirola's #10 while Suarez spun out taking an evasive maneuver. Suarez then proceeded to race back up and finish in the top-10. Justin Marks led a lap under caution. 36. RaceFanX posted: 02.15.2018 - 10:43 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) David Ragan turns in a great top-10 run. He had to woe up the #38 Speedco Ford quick to miss crashing into Johnson during that early crash then rallied back to finish seventh. 37.
