Considering that the Winston already had an over-filled field of 25 cars
+ the Winston Open winner I was somewhat surprised they held the No Bull
Sprint in 2002. This was the final year for this last chance race
regardless.

Ryan Newman would go on to be the first, and only, winner of the No Bull
Sprint to go on and win the All-Star race.

And how about Kyle Petty putting in a great run in 2nd!

^ Johnny Benson injured his ribs in a Busch Series crash a couple weeks
earlier. he sat out 3 races after that (then another 2 races after
reinjuring them at the Daytona cup race)

Jeff Green places in the top-10 driving a car painted like the Mystery
Machine from Scooby-Doo but that isn't high enough to get into the big
dance. His #30 AOL Chevrolet had a colorful paint scheme for both the
all-star race and the Coke 600 to promote the release of the first
live-action Scooby-Doo movie.

Mike Joy along with Larry McReynolds and Darrell Waltrip were the
commentators. Dr. Dick Berggren along with Steve Byrnes and Matt Yocum
were the pit road reporters. Chris Myers and Jeff Hammond were in the
Hollywood hotel.
