First of three Convertible Series races at Solider Field, home of the
Chicago Bears. This event took place nearly a month before the Cup
series' lone race there.

Sprint car standout Jud Larson in a stock car race. A 9th place finish
isn't bad either. I think he was killed in a sprint car race at Reading
Fairgrounds in PA in 1966. The other driver in the crash was killed too,
I think it was Red Riegel.

It's appropriate that Tom Pistone won this race, seeing as he's from
Chicago!

This was the first of two Convertible Series wins for Tiger Tom Pistone.
He'd be waiting a little bit to get the second one.
