They got to the track 15 laps into the race. 4. possum posted: 10.09.2019 - 9:21 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) And my favorite driver finished last! :-( A 19 lap margin wasn't that hard to do on a 1/4 mile track back before debris cautions and lucky dogs. Especially when all the top-name drivers have mechanical problems. @3 - interesting about Turner and Weatherly. Makes me think "steering" is a euphemism for "why the hell are we even out here?". 5. That being said, the news article said that one of the mechanics attempted to start the race for Weatherly but was informed that if he took the green, Weatherly would get no points and not be credited with having been in the race. I think when Weatherly was told about that, the possible ?why the hell am I here' idea got worse. 6. To drive to another state to compete in another series in a race where you have no chance of getting a decent finish... no, there would not be a lot of motivation to run that one to the bitter end. 7. possum posted: 10.10.2019 - 7:16 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @6 - definately so. The amusing part is that they both listed the same excuse ("steering") for dropping out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
