A lot of other people lost money by entering this one. 15. Yeet posted: 08.14.2018 - 12:40 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Like a local late model race or something 16. How times have changed... 17. eth3792 posted: 10.18.2018 - 9:19 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) This article explains what happened at the end of the race: i.imgur.com/UNDZKiy.png Found by u/ZappaOMatic of reddit.com/r/NASCAR. Brief summary written by the same: - Jimmy Massey was racing Lewis "Possum" Jones (who's strangely not in the RR race page for some reason) down the backstretch when they made contact, causing one of them to turn in front of the other. - Bob Beck tried to avoid them, but ended up hitting the infield wiring. - Turner, who was already dominating the race and was actually on the verge of lapping them, got through the carnage. - Everybody else proceeded to wreck in a massive pile-up. For many drivers involved, they said the sun cast a glare that prevented them from avoiding the crash. - Massey (back injuries), Glen Wood (broken nose), and Art Binkley (broken jaw) were hospitalized. Jones suffered chest contusions but wasn't admitted. 18.
