Ken Rush's car was split in half in the crash, but amazingly he escaped serious injury. 2. Jim Paschal #75 blew a tire and result the big nine-car smashup. Relieved driver: -Buck Baker relieved Bob Welborn on the 85th lap. -Curtis Turner relieved Roger Baldwin on the 30th lap. -Tiny Lund relieved Whitey Norman on the 30th lap -Jim Paschal relieved Ken Rush on the 1st lap. -Fonty Flock relieved Glen Wood on the 1st lap. If you don't get it at first, try reading it aloud. This was the only race in which the sponsor (which doesn't seem to have any connection to a company, rather it's the name of the car) made an appearance. Ironically, the car crashed out at lap 180. 7. Would be ran all the way until 2014. Even would be renamed to the southern 500. Was moved to where the southern 500 was on labor day weekend. 8.
