It was a blue chevy convertible owned by Bob Welborn for a 1 race deal. Also, he had other sponcers like: Perfect Circle, Air Lift, & Pure-Premium Gasoline Ford. It had 220 Horse power & was a '47 Chevy in a 1948 race. 3. Tiny Lund #47 was sponsored by "Dillon Auto Parts" from Greensboro, NC. Lee Petty spun Joe Weatherly in the last turn (while landing from a sand bump). They were wheel to wheel on the last part of the race. 4. Anonymous posted: 06.10.2011 - 6:39 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) There was a #22 car shown in the race film. 5. He got the car re-fired, but decided to retire from the event right then, rather than drive around off the pace. 6. Turn 3 was also where Lee Petty got into Joe Weatherly on the last lap, allowing Petty to take 2nd place away after the two of them had a great battle going for the runner-up spot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
