Per this newspaper clipping the average speed of the race was 66.5 mph.
Not sure if the time of race then is incorrect (it currently matches the
average speed of 62.554 mph) or if the newspaper clipping is incorrect.

Crazy that there's still data/newspapers out there from that long ago.
