Is the "n/a" for the pole "not available" or "not applicable"? 8. webmaster posted: 06.08.2010 - 6:47 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @7: Thanks for letting me know about Dunnaway, and I also added Bob Flock as the pole sitter for race 1949-03, information which was also previously missing. 'n/a' for pole speed means not available or just that I don't have it. :-) If qualifying was not held for a race then the pole speed is shown as "No time trials". 9. Bill Rexford had one win, Frankie Schneider won once, and of course Jack White won this race. That's the lowest win total for any field in NASCAR history. Being that this was a New York race, most of the southern based teams either couldn't or wouldn't run this far north. Glenn Dunnaway was the only exception. Langhorne could attract teams by offering a much higher than normal purse, but most regular northern races would only have one or two southern drivers show up. 14. There is a picture of Jack White in the book "Heroes of the Frontier". Are there any pictures or articles about this race (Hamburg NY 1949),if so please post a link. Anyone else notice that? I wish that this would happen nowadays! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
