It's easy to mix up such names and that would better explain the final top-50 standings. Minor changes to the point system for the last race seem quite strange but it's the best fit how to explain final top-50. Similar schedule seems to be used in Langhorne. In both races there wery many finishers, maybe that's the reason. 5. hyltonfan08 posted: 01.23.2009 - 3:08 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Fonty Flock's sponsor for this race was Green Leaf Cafe. 6. Here's the full standings for 1949, using the *true* old point system used from 1975-2003(ie: no extra bonus points for race wins. Add ten bonus points for every winner to get the 2007 results.) 1. Lee Petty 921 (Lee was 226 points down with 2 races to go. Winning a race that Byron didn't run helped) 2. Red Byron 907 (-14) 3. Bill Blair 881 (-40) 4. Bob Flock 825 (-96) 5. Curtis Turner 790 (-131) 6. Fonty Flock 756 (-165) Tied for sixth: Sara Christian 756 (-165) 8. Tim Flock 647 (-274) 9. Every race can have 2 winners, awarded equal points except bonuses. Then equal points goes for every next pair of cars/drivers: 3+4, 5+6, etc. This TTSS adds to races not only feud, but also a co-operation. Every year/season can have 2 "gold" champions, then 2 "silver", 2 "bronze", etc. The basic idea is to compare current race/year system (aka "deficit") with TTSS (aka "plentiness"). No need to have 3 (triple) or more winners, as 2 is just oke to compare the root.
