Ruel Smith becomes the 8th driver with the surname Smith to compete in
NASCAR racing, in the space of 1.5 seasons.

The first time in NASCAR that two cars numbered 200 and above (Frank
Boylan #212 & Bob Dickson #293) start the same race.
