Each position from 1st to 10th dropped 30 points, from 10th to 14th - 6 points. Some minor points were given also to drivers who finished outside top-14. To match final standings, it looks that Lloyd Moore earned 3 points in this race. 21 year old Fireball Roberts took the championship lead from 23 year old Bill Rexford in this race. Fireball had started only 6 of 14 races. Top-20 after 14 of 19 races: 1. Fireball Roberts 1745 2. Bill Rexford 1699 -46 3. Curtis Turner 1373.5 -371.5 4. Red Byron 1315 -430 5.
