Championship leader Fireball Roberts was absent and had to succumb his lead to Bill Rexford who finished 6th. Also absent was Turner as well as Byron and Mantz who didn't care about championship and were mathematically eliminated. Top-20 after 16 of 19 races: 1. Bill Rexford 1799 2.
