This was his second and final Cup race although he did later race in the NASCAR Speedway Division for open wheel racers. 4. Nash became the first auto maker to formally back NASCAR at the beginning of 1951. However, despite winning a race at Charlotte with the Ambassador, Turner didn't think to highly of the car, calling it 'an upside down bathtub, that overheats all the time.' Unsurprisingly, Nash didn't supply any more drivers with their cars after this. 5. Nash would later merge with Hudson in 1954 to form AMC and that brand would go to win five more races. There are also 13 brands that to date have raced at the top level and never scored a victory including American car makers Cadillac, Packard, Henry J, Willys, Edsel, and even Tucker. Volkswagen, Alfa Romeo, Porsche, Aston Martin, Austin-Healey, MG, and Triumph have also seen their cars appear in NASCAR (usually during special races that allowed foreign cars) but it's hard to really count their limited appearances. 6.
