With Eddie Lenz failing to start, I believe this is the first NASCAR
top-level race not to feature a '49 or earlier year model car competing.

Note for visitors: we have found some informations missing and/or
correction until now on the website (lot of starting positions,
sponsors, all missing drivers, status, car numbers,...).
But there are still a lot of missing information.

Thanks for the update on the finishing order. Greg Fielden's Forty Years
of Stock Car racing only shows the top 29 finishers, but does state that
there were 37 starters, which matches what is shown here since the
bottom two did not start. The book also states that positions 21-29 are
"not necessarily in correct finishing order."

According to the video #8 posted, Jim Romine was #171.

Mike Ernest definitely did start the race, his #5 is seen speeding by at
the 3:47 mark.
There was a #8 1950 Ford in this race.

There is also an unidentified red and yellow #128 shown going by at 3:51.

There is also a black #24 when there was 4-wide action.
