An incredible total of 17 drivers made thier debuts in this race. Only
two, Tom Gifford and Ray Jannelle, would run another Cup race.

Jerry Russo went on to have a good career in midgets.

The Jerry Russo and Billy Carden cars were station wagons, from what
video of the race shows.

This was a Friday night race ahead of 3 races on Sunday...Only 4 drivers
who would've qualified for a Chase in 1951 (2011 format) raced...Tim
Flock finished 7th, Lloyd Moore 16th, Frank Mundy 20th, and Herb Thomas
26th while leading the most laps...Thomas took over the point lead when
he took the green flag as he was only 5 points behind Fonty Flock

I saw 2 drivers who had the 31st starting position, and no one starting 13th
The 2 drivers were George Cavana and Lyle Scott
