Fonty Flock's 9th carrer win, taking over 1st place from Curtis Turner,
who had held the record since 3rd win

Flock's win put him back in the point lead by 15 over Herb Thomas (21st,
led lap)...The other 2 Flock brothers, and Lee Petty were the only Chase
drivers to race

Note for visitors: we have found some informations missing and/or
correction until now on the website (Car number, make, laps). Donald
Thomas relieved by Herb Thomas from lap 90 to 161).
But there are still a lot of missing information.

Jack Wade's car number should be #9. He ran the race one week prior with
a #9.
