Lloyd Moore 1026 23. Gene Comstock 1017 (Charles Gattalia would be here with 1010 points, but as he's not listed in the final points total, it can be presumed that he was stripped of all points.) 24. Ed Samples 986 25. Coleman Lawrence 943 26. Jack Smith 934 27. Fred Dove 923 28. Frankie Schnieder 862 29. Herschel Buchanan 777 (Probably should have been fined, as he was a full-time IMCA driver, but he's still listed in the official points.) 30. Dick Passwater 756 31. E.C. Ramsey 745 32. Roscoe Thompson 732 33. Jim Reed 728 34. Bud Farrell 701 35. Tommy Moon 698 36. Johnny Patterson 679 37. J.O. Staton 667 38. Elton Hildreth 664 39. Jimmy Florian 656 40. Dave Terrell 654 41. Fireball Roberts 585 48. Ed Benedict 584 (Marshall Teague would have had 582.) 49. George Bush 575 50. Leonard Tippett 575 And another year bites the dust. Thanks mainly to the lack of west coast races, we had "only" 261 drivers this year. (Which feels a lot more managable than 376.) Next up, '53. Let's see how many months this one takes. 8. I'm pretty quick at adding up numbers, and the Latford system has been ingrained in my mind for thirty-some years. Plus, work's slow right now, so we're mostly working half-days. It took me about three days to do this season. '51 was a lot harder. 11. David posted: 05.21.2012 - 2:36 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) That's interesting. Keep it up, this is very interesting! 12. Then equal points goes for every next pair of cars/drivers: 3+4, 5+6, etc. This TTSS adds to races not only feud, but also a co-operation. Every year/season can have 2 "gold" champions, then 2 "silver", 2 "bronze", etc. The basic idea is to compare current race/year system (aka "deficit") with TTSS (aka "plentiness"). No need to have 3 (triple) or more winners, as 2 is just oke to compare the root. 20. Which sucks for Ray, since this would be his only chance of making the top ten in his far too brief life. 26. thog posted: 07.13.2020 - 9:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Photo evidence shows George Bush was in car #116 https://i.imgur.com/OG7cup6.png 27.
