Patrick Webber posted: 06.13.2005 - 2:23 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) My Dad Al Webber, spelled wrong in the standings, was a local driver in Rochester, NY. He was asked by a car owner to run his car because the regular driver was ill. He finished 9th driving the only Ford in the field. Dad said the car was running great and would have finished higher but Junior Johnson hit him in the front tire so he lost 25 laps to a tire change. The car owner was so impressed with Dad's racing he invited him to run the car the following race at Fonda. Unfortunately Dad crashed in lap 26 and finished 17th.
