Originally it was going to be held before the Spartanburg round. 3. nascar_vd / racing-reference.info posted: 03.30.2017 - 11:42 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Driver standings after this race: (top20) 1) Lee Petty = 4103 points 2) Buck Baker = 4082 3) Tim Flock = 3790 4) Junior Johnson = 2902 5) Eddie Skinner = 2558 6) Jim Paschal = 2433 7) Fonty Flock = 2430 8) Dick Rathman = 2170 9) Bob Welborn = 1924 10) Jimmie Lewallen = 1854 11) Gene Simpson = 1668 12) Harvey Henderson = 1616 13) Herb Thomas = 1522 14) Dave Terrell = 1502 15) Johnny Dodd, Jr. = 1320 16) Blackie Pitt = 1316 17) Joel Million = 1136 18) Arden Mounts = 1110 19) Gwyn Staley = 1100 20) Curtis Turner = 788 4. I think sometimes guys like Flock are overlooked because of how early in the sport's history they drove, but he was truly an incredible racer and (from everything I've read) had a great personality. What's even crazier is that he only started 187 races, and only competed in at least half the races in 7 seasons. His 21% win percentage and 69% top 10 percentage are both very good, even for that time period. 6.
