Not sure exactly what to make of this line from a newspaper clipping but
it suggests that Tim Flock may have led all of the first 125 laps:
"Tim Flock had from the start of the race but relinquished the lead to
Petty when he made a pit stop after 126 laps" (1955-08-08, Daily
Independent, Kannapolis, NC)
