Emery too was primarily a Convertible Series racer. 5. Seibaru posted: 09.11.2020 - 10:20 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) This was a mixed race, some of the starters ran convertibles, some hardtops. Apparently 19 Convertibles started, but I've only been able to ID 17. They were: #12 Weatherly #34 Staley #33 Massey #49 Welborn #86 Oldenberg #71 Poor #99 Emery #7 Odo #23 Schihl #44 Binkley #26 Turner #21 Wood #15 Pistone #55 Larson #76 Frank #2 Lutz #48 Lewallen Weatherly was the best finisher of the open tops, coming home 6th. Also worth noting that while Jack Smith's car was scored as the #502, for whatever reason he only had a #5 on his driver's side. His passenger door said #502, and I assume his roof did too. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
