Speedy Thompson leads flag-to-flag to take the win as the Cup series
races at South Carolina's Lancaster Speedway for the last time. This
track hosted just two Cup races and both took place less than two months
apart during the summer of 1957. Thompson finished fifth in the earlier
race before winning this one.
