From a few photos is Greg Fielden's 45 Years of Stock Car Racing, the
banking looks pretty steep, the straightways VERY long and the corners
VERY tight.

Looks kinda like Martinsville on steroids, if you can imagine that. Same
paper clip shape just a mile in length.

Largest field of the season at 55 entries, good prize money payout for
the era. This was a prestigious event.

Bob Whelborn in 7th was the best finishing convertible in this race.

In total, 10 of the 55 starters were in convertibles in this race.
