My dad finished 14th, right behind his good friend Benny Rakestraw, and
a few spots ahead of Wilbur Rakestarw, another close friend and racing
buddy.
This was the first year this race was held off the beach.

@7, From what I found Larry Frank was on the lead lap when he was DSQ'd
(meaning it happened on lap 89), which would seem to indicate a black
flag. Why exactly, IDK.

@8 - failure to heed the black flag seems likely. Probably worth noting
that this was a joint race with the convertible division, and Frank was
one of the drivers driving a convertible.
