The second of only three races by an Edsel in the GN Division. Also the
last example of '56 model year cars competing in the GN Divison

I love the schedules from the 50s, they went from Daytona to a 1/4 mile
dirt track.

Due to rain the race was rescheduled from Sundayafternoon to Tuesday
evening. As the 1/2 mile oval had no lights, the race was contested on
the inner 1/4 mile oval.

Len Bailey gets pole position in 4th and final GN race, spread over 8
years, while Russ Gumberling qualifies 4th in his only GN start. This
race is the only occasion when two drivers with Sand in there surname
(August Sand and Scott Sandman) started the same race.
