Qualifying determined only the top 2 starters for this race, the other positions were set via two 25-lap qualifying races. Cotton Owens wrecked his #6 car during a qualifying race and purchased Roy Tyner's #9 for the main race. 4. The site here doesn't show him running any races in Nashville in a convertible, and a little research shows a picture with him in victory lane and the checked flag at Nashville. Just something worth looking into. 5. nascar_vd / racing-reference posted: 12.18.2013 - 5:22 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) It's a combination race between Grand National and Convertible division. 6. nascar_vd / racing-reference.info posted: 02.03.2017 - 12:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Note: Jimmy Thompson drove the car #13 in qualifying heat instead of Andy Hampton. Cotton had the No. 6 entered for himself before moving to the No. 9. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
