Myler had gone underneath the car to make an adjustment and the rest of the crew didn't realize this. They dropped the jack and Petty took off. In a strange case of deja vu, 38 years later, Adam Petty ran over his crew chief Chris Bradley at an ASA race in Minnesota. Bradley had gone underneath the car to make an adjustment and the rest of the crew didn't realize this. They dropped the jack and Petty took off. The major difference: Myler survived, Bradley did not. 2. nascar_vd / Racing-Reference.info posted: 05.21.2017 - 11:26 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Note: an accident eliminated the father-son team of Lee and Richard Petty. Another drivers involved in the accident: Fred Lorenzen, Doug Yates and Bobby Johns. 3. nascar_vd /racing-reference.info posted: 02.13.2018 - 11:44 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Note concerning the lineup: Position 1-20 by qualifying time. Position 21 to 30 by result of the 20-lap qualifying race. Position 31 = wild card by the race promoter. All others = DNQ. 4. My guess would be they had mechanical issues or crashes in the qualifier, but full results of that race seem to be lost to history. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
